**Art Center Sarasota’s Juried Exhibitions are NON-Themed and open to ALL subject matter and material. Jurors DO NOT select artwork for inclusion or awards based a particular theme or title. ACS Exhibition Committee asks co-jurors to make all selections based solely on artistic merit. In 2007, Art Center Sarasota's Exhibition Committee elected to no longer refer to exhibition titles as “themes”. Exhibition titles serve as “concepts” and thereby, in no way limit artist’s responses to the Call-for-Entries. It is our hope that these “concept titles” will not only create a point of interest for audiences, marketing and the media but may also inspire artists to create new works or view their current or past work through a new lens.
