 Art Center Sarasota and the City of Sarasota are joining forces to promote area artists and fund Community Outreach Programs initiated and implemented by Art Center Sarasota. City Hall and the Federal Building have been outfitted with professional art hanging systems and lighting to accommodate 50-100 pieces of juried art to hang for one year. In order to qualify for jurying, applicants must be members of Art Center Sarasota. The work will be for sale and proceeds will go to the artist and to Art Center Sarasota to provide continued funding of the Centers’ community outreach programs: Slice of Art The quarterly rotation will be noted with a festive reception where community leaders, artists and the public can share their enthusiasm for the contribution art makes to the unique ambiance of Sarasota. |
