Joseph Melancon
My paintings are prompted by the mystical aspects of personal experiences and observations that began in childhood dealing with the likes of nature, early cultures, war-games, spinning tops and shooting marbles. I see the making of my art as a felicitous investigation into parts of my life and analogous to an archaeological dig. Just view the muted earth tones contrasted with bold color, stimulating textures and 3-D components in images having multiple layers of meaning. I definitely have a passion for process, composition and the painterly surface.

Katharine Cosenza Butler

Aside from one print made from a selected painting each year, all her work is one of a kind and original. John-Norman Tuck
Color is happy. I want people to feel happiness through my art. My passion with art is immeasurable. I'm complete with life as I paint. I want others to feel my love of life through my paintings. Enjoy my art and be happy!

Susan Reinemeyer
Art is an obsession for me. Even when I've had full time jobs that were not art-related, there has been an inner need to create that would not be ignored. I can barely contain it. I am an optimist, and my style reflects that attitude. I am drawn to hopeful, uplifting subjects, sometimes with a touch of whimsy. If my work makes you smile, then I've achieved my goal.

Anita Wexler
Anita Marie Snider Wexler grew up in the heart of Illinois. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, NYC majoring in communication/graphic design and Art Education. She has taught art classes to children and volunteers at schools. Anita paints art in acrylic and oil on canvas which she mixes found objects or other elements into to give texture and 3D effects. Some are easy on the eye, yet they go deeper, some are strangely engaging, without explanation, some are more raw, but all of them are colorful. Her art evokes many styles into each piece.

Dan Strothers
My woodwork can range from a very functional design, to a design blending function and art. The key is what works in the environment and what makes one comfortable. Simple or flamboyant, natural wood or painted finish. I have a very large cache of finishes to choose from, and can simulate most samples one might bring me. So, whatever the need, whether it be an entertainment center or a small piece to fill and architectural niche, I can help you make your home more beautiful, comfortable and livable.

Daniel Petrov
People are my preferred motif. I paint people who stimulate me, forceful personalities.
I also frequently portray myself. Painting a single portrait of a subject doesn't satisfy me.
Usually I produce an extensive series, examining various nuances in manner and mood.
Ultimately I depict emotional states. Those of my subjects as well as my own.

Tim Raines
My work is guided by my infinite enthusiasm for exploration. Exploration can and should take many forms - from the random road trip to discovering your own Self. In my art, I'm particularly fascinated by the role physics plays in the way paint forms on the canvas, interacts with other paints and reacts when manipulated by anything from a brush to fingers. Historically, my art was focused solely on "ultra realism" and illustration but over time, I have found abstract just as rewarding to complete but far more exciting to create.

Robert Lovejoy
I create bold paintings expressing my love of puns, icons and symbols, often incorporating an unexpected jolt or surprise. My aim is to show the viewer an oblique, colorful, thoughtful and meaningful view of the world. The depictions may emerge as serious, amusing or sometimes both at the same time! I wish to gently persuade the viewer into seeing the world from a slightly different perspective!

Dorothy Sabean-Davis

I am a local self-taught artist. I draw and paint all over the map - Landscapes, portraits, realism, surrealism, wherever my mental wanderings are at the moment. My aim is to share these visions and make the observer react. I have a deep love for nature, eastern philosophy and yoga, and these inform my art. Quirky work - yes. I threaten to leave my daughter a legacy of a 4-foot tall angry octopus. She must be saved from this fate. There is an art lover's wall just waiting for him. Shown: "Needs Soy" from The Sushi Series.    http://dsabean.daportfolio.com/

Brian Sommers

I am passionately committed to abstraction. I love experimenting and am always looking for new techniques. I spend a lot of time observing, looking for the major areas of the painting to develop, always keeping the movement of the viewers eye and composition paramount.

Barbara Doucette

With brush in hand and paint on her palette, Barbara J. Doucette expresses a reverence for nature, the often "unseen" beauty that surrounds us if we would just slow our pace a little to view it. Her work issues an invitation to step into her world of color, light and to look into nature's windows! All of her subject matter results from direct experiences. A quiet walk in the woods, to gazing into the heart of a flower or a close-up view of a butterfly's wing, may end up as an award-winning painting. Welcome into “her world!”  Enjoy!
