Explore different techniques and approach to making art, while fine tuning what it is that you already know or don't know in a friendly, non-competitive, open environment.  In this mixed media course, attendees will learn not only a variety of paint techniques, but will develop, learn, and expand a new understanding for art concepts, history of art in culture, and the use of self-expression.  Through lectures, one-on-one demonstrations, discussion, and in studio practice, participants will experience through this exploration, a new approach to what it is that they love to do.

About the Instructor:

imageRaised in Paducah, KY, Tim Jaeger moved to Sarasota, FL in 1998 to earn a BA from Ringling College of Art and Design.  Since graduating in 2002, Jaeger continues to maintain his Sarasota studio while exhibiting with multiple art galleries including State of the Arts Gallery located in downtown Sarasota. Jaeger is more than just an artist; his creative mind expands into the business and politics of Sarasota’s visual arts.  As Assistant Director of the Ringling College of Art and Design Galleries and exhibitions, board member of Sarasota’s Public Art Committee, and CEO and co-founder of sarasotavisualart.com, among many other projects, Jaeger works toward engaging the community and fostering new artistic partnerships.  Currently, Jaeger’s works can be seen in numerous public and private collections.
