Art is a free half-day field trip program created by Art
Center Sarasota offering:
Free transportation
Engaging educational art tours
Opportunity to participate in the “Art Challenge”
(hands-on projects)
Free pizza snack and refreshments

The
Slice of Art program provides fun educational art experiences for
students of all ages through exciting guided tours of the Art
Center’s changing exhibitions and hands-on art making
activities. Slice of Art tours are age appropriate and designed to
capture student’s imagination. The tours will include
connections to science, biology, and other subject areas.
The
ACS educator will work with teachers to develop curriculum connections
and discussions relevant to issues in student’s day to day
lives. After the gallery tour students enjoy a slice of pizza and
refreshments, followed by a forty-five minute art-making workshop.
Students will be invited to take the great Art Challenge and create a
work of art to be included in the November Slice of Art student
exhibition.

Gallery Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. Closed
