Goldie’s interest in photography developed over a 40 year period and was enhanced by classes taken from Monte Nagler in Michigan who studied with the renowned Ansel Adams.
Currently Goldie focuses on pattern and color in patina. Rusty vintage cars and other metal objects have provided her with a new vision which offers abstract surprising outcomes.
As a Detroit native I witnessed the passion for those beloved vintage cars, hot rods and motor bikes that you’d see driven proudly on the streets of the annual Detroit Woodward Dream Cruises. I work to capture the forms and color specific to the rusted and worm cars. My auto photography has been recognized for my unique perspective by Hour magazine, a premier Detroit publication. My work has been displayed by the former Ariana Gallery in Royal Oak, Michigan.
After a 15 year career in Michigan as a CSW, then 20 years as a CFP, I relocated permanently to Sarasota where I have retired and refocused on my love for photography.
