Biography:
Janine Hoffman has been teaching the medium of colored pencil for Ringling College of Art and Design since 2002. Her vibrant work, whose love of sports and human form are reflected in her action packed renderings, has brought a fresh take on the use of this medium. While trained as a painter, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Long Island University at C.W. Post, her first love has always been drawing,

Janine worked as a comic book illustrator as well as a professional artist, whose work has been exhibited and sold throughout the U.S, Canada and Europe. She has also appeared in various publications, including Beckett Monthly and has worked with many independent publishers. Some of her work can be viewed year round at the Tom James/Raymond James Financial Art Collection in Clearwater, Florida. Her latest endeavor is the children’s book series “Chili the Dachshund”, in which she is both writer and illustrator.
