Youth Saturdays are offered free thanks to the generous support of The Exchange, The Julie Ross Legacy Project, The Wood Foundation of Chambersburg, PA, and Leslie Meeker & Enver Bismillah!
Register your young artist for Youth Saturdays! On select Saturdays, 1-4 pm, from September through March, kids will learn about art, explore their creativity and have fun too! We will feed their minds and tummies with an afternoon snack. Our talented instructors - with the help of our teen volunteers - provide age appropriate activities for students in two groups of 10 per class:
Creative Kids: Ages 6-10
Emerging Artists: Ages 11-15
Space is limited. Registration for the month will open starting at 10 am on or about the 15th of the month prior. We will have a wait-list signup as classes fill up. Questions? Email youtheducation@artsarasota.org or call 941-365-2032.
If you are at least 15 and in high school, join us as a volunteer teacher’s assistant on Youth Saturdays, or as an Exhibition Assistant after school during the week.

To register, select your Saturday, go to the shopping cart, and check out. You will not be charged for Youth Saturday. Your confirmation will be sent via email as soon as it is processed.
You must contact us in advance if you have to cancel. A no show/no call for any class will result in inability to sign up for future Youth Saturdays. We have waitlists and want to have as many young artists attend as possible.
Due to the overwhelming response, please only sign your child or children up for one Saturday per month. Registration opens at 10 am on or about the 15th of the month prior.

“Show me the Monet! Impressionism”
Grab your easels and join us this month as we explore the world of bright colors, bold brush strokes, and dreamy images! Paintbrush at the ready, students will learn to capture the world around them inspired by the classic impressionist style.
To reserve a spot, you may register your child or children for ONE DATE ONLY per month. Classes are free, but you still need to “go to cart” to check out to receive confirmation that your child’s spot is reserved.

“Zooming In: Close ups”
What will you find if you look just a little closer? With inspiration from artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, students will use their observational skills to zoom in on everyday objects and create imaginative new images from what they discover.
To reserve a spot, you may register your child or children for ONE DATE ONLY per month. Classes are free, but you still need to “go to cart” to check out to receive confirmation that your child’s spot is reserved.
