MEET STEVIE D’ERCOLE
Ikebana Artist
Stevie D’Ercole is a Canadian-American contemporary artist and gardener with a focus on plant materials as a medium in a practice she calls “sculpting with flowers.” She has been practicing ikebana for the past six years and has earned four certificates in the Tokyo-based Sogetsu school of ikebana. She feels drawn to the ephemerality, simplicity, and meditative aspects of the art form. She has created commissioned works, participated in group and solo exhibitions, public art events, and has been a floral designer for Orlando Museum of Art’s annual Art in Bloom event for several years.
