After nearly two decades caring for patients as a neurologist, Leonie van Passel felt a quiet pull to reconnect with her lifelong love of the arts. Creative expression had always been close to her heart—even during the demanding years of medical practice and raising two children—but carving out time for it was difficult. Now, in a more flexible, semi-retired phase of life, she’s grateful for the opportunity to explore, create, and share. She has embraced beading as her current medium and looks forward to growing through both making and teaching.
