“A Nice Family Gathering” by Phil Olson
Sunday, Feb 1, 2026 | 4-6 pm
Tickets: $15
A heartwarming comedy about a man who loved his wife so much… he almost said it.
It’s Thanksgiving, and the family is coming together for the first time since their father passed away. But Dad isn’t quite ready to leave—he returns as a ghost on a mission to finally tell his wife he loved her. As their three adult children struggle to navigate Dad’s unexpected presence, they’re also dealing with their mother’s early dementia… and the chaos that follows when she invites a date to Thanksgiving dinner.
Both hilarious and touching, this play blends comedy and heart in equal measure.
“Where There’s a Will, There’s a Relative” by Roger Karshner

When wealthy entrepreneur Sam Price dies unexpectedly, his family gathers at his townhouse—only to be stunned by the reading of his will. As the family scrambles to reclaim the inheritance and derail the unlikely romance, their schemes unfold in a series of hilarious twists, misunderstandings, and comedic chaos.

Theatre of the Mind: We read – you imagine
Our mission is two-fold: to raise money and increase public awareness of Art Center Sarasota and to stimulate imagination and entertain audiences by presenting readings of interesting and worthwhile plays. Without the significant financial demands of a full production, we hope to provide a significant addition to the public awareness and exposure to plays of importance and intellectual value. Our themes highlight the creative spark. The well-rehearsed voice actors communicate the full intellectual, emotional and athletic content of the literature to the audience: The imagination of the audience provides the sets costumes and props.
