Join award winning artist Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern for a fun and easy introduction to relief printmaking using EZ Soft Cut linoleum blocks. In this four-week class, students will create a design, carve, proof, and print a short edition using water-based inks. Experimentation with different inks, inking techniques and hand coloring, paper selection, and multiple block printing will be discussed, as well as ideas for professional quality presentation.
Printing ink is difficult to remove from clothing. TheArt Center has aprons that can be borrowed to wear during class, but sometimes things can get messy! Please dress accordingly.
