Bead Basics & Beyond

Welcome to the wonderfully addictive world of beading! In this intro course, we’ll cover the basic supplies you’ll need to dive into beadwork—warning: You may soon find yourself mysteriously drawn to shiny objects like a crow with a crafting hobby!
You’ll learn how to start a project, how to add new thread without tying yourself in knots (literally), and how to attach clasps that don’t pop off at awkward moments.
We’ll explore some classic bead weaving techniques like Peyote stitch, Right Angle Weave, and netting—don’t worry, no fishing gear required. Oh wait, that’s wrong, you do need some fishing gear. We’ll explain later.
With just a few sizes of seed beads (and possibly a magnifying glass), we’ll add some fabulous 3D flair to your projects. And yes, we’ll also tackle the dark side of beading: how to undo mistakes and remove those rogue beads that just won’t behave. By the end, you’ll be well on your way to beading brilliance!
